Please join us for “PART 2 of Ford City”!  This year's Walk will further explore the neighborhood's history and its community culture, by exposing ties to Labour, Architecture and the Detroit River. A number of buildings will be highlighted, including some of the architecture/buildings that are no longer part of the community’s fabric. 

 

History, historic preservation, community culture, architecture and economics can all be rolled into the discussion.  The influence of the auto plant and the challenges tied to maintaining the community all fall under the overall theme of… City Building!




Event location: The walk will start and end at Whelpton Park (Corner of Drouillard Road and Whelpton Street)
