About the Walk:
The Lesperance Log Cabin is the homestead of the original settlers for whom Lesperance Road is named. We’ll meet at the Royal Canadian Legion Tecumseh Branch, just north of the original location of the log cabin and take in the surroundings, including Ste-Anne’s Church which was built in 1873 and as you can see from the photo, underwent ambitious repairs. We’ll arrive at the Tecumseh Area Historical Society and visit the log cabin then return to the Legion while continuing to learn about early life in Tecumseh.
