About the Walk:
Take a trip back in time along the historic streets of Amherstburg to learn about buildings that connect us with the past. We will take a look at properties on Amherstburg’s heritage register including residences, commercial structures and public buildings that have been recognized as having cultural heritage value. Downtown Amherstburg is experiencing both new developments and restoration projects. During the walk we will discuss the importance of preservation and what is at stake if we do not protect built heritage.
