A walk along the streets of downtown Amherstburg featuring stories about former residents discovered through its historic buildings. We’ll talk about the fascinating people who built and occupied these spaces, and the businesses, organizations, and activities associated with them. Learn about early merchants, bankers and barbers, innkeepers, and photographers, all through the buildings that continue to occupy the town’s core.
About the host:
Meg Reiner was born and raised in Amherstburg, and went on to study Cultural Heritage Conservation. She has worked at the Marsh Historical Collection, a local history & genealogy centre in Amherstburg, for the past 6 years. One of her favourite parts of the job is conducting property research. She is excited to share some of these property histories with you.
